JOB OVERVIEW
• Implement and maintain the Quality Assurance annual audit program.
• Support the Quality Manager, Deputy Quality Manager and Chief Inspector in their Regulatory roles for the BCAA.
• Maintain the Continuing Surveillance Program, Provide technical and advisory support to the Maintenance, Materials and Flight Operations Departments.
• Evaluate work packages audit corrective action reports resulting from in house or external audits.
• Collect, compile and analyse data and provide accurate reports detailing recommendations for action by departments or organisations audited.
• Conduct Bi-weekly EASA and FAA Ad reviews.
• Review the Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Programs.
• Assist the Maintenance Department with Aircraft recovery.
• Calculate and maintain aircraft weight and balance records.
• Follow-up the renewal of aircraft Certificates of Airworthiness, Registration, Radio Station Licences and Mechanic and Pilots Certificates.
• Liaise with vendors and Civil Aviation Authorities.
• Assist the Quality Manager, and thus ensure that DHL Aviation has a Quality System as required the BCAA and IOSA.
• Assist the Quality Manager, and thus ensure that DHL Aviation (EEMEA) has Quality Systems continued airworthiness support.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Planning and coordination of individual audits within the audit program.
• Conduct pre audit research and submitting the audit scope for approval of the quality manager.
• Vetting audit reports prior to review and approval by the quality manager.
• Managing data entry of audit reports details in to audit data bases. Q-Pulse.
• Follow up on corrective action plans to achieve audit closure.
• Prepare periodic reports on the respective quality functions.
• Complete audit reports on schedule when assigned in accordance with the Quality program.
• Conduct of audits in assigned areas. Notify Quality Manager any non-conformity noticed either during audits or during scheduled or unscheduled work. Conduct of follow up audits as and when required. Retaining and safeguarding the audit documentation.
• Maintain the Audit program as per IOSA and BCAA ANTR requirements.
• Assess International and National Aviation Regulatory Authority regulations, requirements and recommendations and determine their applicability to company operations.
• Disseminate internal communication as directed regarding regulations and requirements, and advise the Company Management of required compliance.
• Aid the Quality Manager with the gap analysis to any new regulation.
• Review Departmental Procedures and expositions prior to their submission to the Airworthiness Authority.
• Advise Management on and monitor the scope and syllabus of training to ensure compliance with Company and Airworthiness Authority requirements.
• Administer the Company system for issuing Engineer and Crew Authorities and keep records required by Airworthiness Authority.
• Conduct quality audits to assess and approve (or reject) subcontractors and suppliers for extension of the quality system.
• Carry out Operator Audits and Aircraft Ramp Inspections in respect of any Leased aircraft which DHL may operate. Prepare periodic reports to the Quality Manager in respect of Leased-in aircraft and their Operators.
• Plan audit, execute and prepare audit reports including documenting findings.
• Maintain files generated from each audit.
• Work with departments audited to resolve compliance issues. Provide recommendations if required and monitor / track corrective actions.
• Liaise with the Quality manager on all matters affecting the company’s Certificates of Approval and related airworthiness matters.
• Assist with Safety / Incident/ Accident investigations and monitoring corrective and preventative actions if required.
• Undertake training and refresher courses as necessary to maintain effectiveness in the above roles.
• Any reasonable request from DHL Management.
• Interpretation of legal requirements and recommendations.
• Determination of applicability to company activity.
• Development of methods of compliance.
• Monitoring continuing compliance.
• Determination of regulatory requirements, recommendations and best practices while taking into account the effect on safety, reliability and efficiency.
• Receipt and evaluation of requirements, distribution to affected staff, follow-up and development of policy and procedures, approval, training, authorization of staff, implementation and auditing must all be planned and reviewed by the Quality Manager.
Desired Skills and Experience
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & EDUCATION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Lead Auditor handling Audits within an Airline environment.
• Must have held an Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License or Pilots Licence for at least 10 years or held a degree preferably within Quality Management disciplines with a Systems license on the Aircraft and Engines operated by the Company.
• Must have a Quality / Auditors Certification along with an Airline / IOSA Auditors Course completed.
• Must have successfully completed a Quality System Course, e.g.: Auditor / Lead Auditor / IOSA Course.
• Knowledge and experience to undertake Quality Control / Quality Assurance tasks and activities in aircraft maintenance, aircraft airworthiness management, flight operations and repair organizations.
• Knowledge and experience to undertake Quality Control / Quality Assurance tasks and activities in flight Operations.
• Knowledge and experience with Q-pulse or other Auditing software programs.
• Holder of an ICAO Type II Airman certificate, preferably an EASA Part 66.
• Thorough knowledge of International and National Civil Aviation Legislation.
• Must have strong communication and relationship building skills, along with ability to work with people at all (including executive) levels of internal / external business partners.
• Train the Trainer Course.
• Read and write fluently in the English Language.
• Available to travel extensively.
